The Knowledgebase provides straightforward answers to frequently asked questions about the South China Sea maritime territorial disputes. Due to the controversial nature of the disputes, the issue is often awash in information that is either misleading or based on unsubstantiated evidence. Knowledgebase answers are carefully researched and aim to serve as a reliable source of information for policymakers, researchers, journalists, and others in the international community.

As one of the few truly independent institutions producing information on the South China Sea disputes, South China Sea Think Tank views the Knowledgebase as a key contribution to its mission of promoting dialogue, research, and education on South China Sea issues.
