The South China Sea Think Tank accepts applications for internships on an ongoing basis. All internships are unpaid and are conducted online. Schedules are flexible, but interns are expected to contribute a minimum of five hours per week for three months. An official Certificate of Completion will be provided upon successful completion of the internship. Details about current opportunities are given below. Research Intern
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with SCSTT team on ongoing research projects
Qualifications
- Academic experience and interest in the South China Sea maritime territorial disputes
- Ability to conduct research independently
- English language proficiency
- High level of attention to detail
GIS and Mapping Intern
Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and visualize geographic data related to territorial claims, international law, and incidents in the South China Sea
Qualifications
- Experience with cartography and GIS software
- High level of attention to detail
Web Development Intern
Responsibilities
- Manage online article publication process
- Identify relevant imagery licensed for reuse
- Collaborate with SCSTT team on issues related to web design, site optimization, and SEO
Qualifications
- Familiarity with web development, including html, css, and WordPress
- High level of attention to detail
